Easter Day Crafts for Kids
Big Egg
Balloon
Newspaper
Glue
Water
Bowl
Safety Pin
Paints of your choice
Cover your area with newspaper. In the bowl you will need to mix glue and some water to make a thin sticky liquid. (If you have liquid starch this works well too.) Tear more newspaper into strips and set a side. Blow up your balloon so that it is egg shaped. Once your egg is securely tied you will need to dip single slips of newspaper into the glue/water mixture and then place all around your egg. Once you have done this you wait till your egg balloon has dried. After it has dried you can paint your egg to look like an Easter Egg. When the Easter Egg paint has dried, take the safety pin and pop the balloon inside. You now have a BIG EGG, which can be used for display or as a piñata.
Handprint Bunny

Paint your child’s hand with brown paint, have your child hold their fingers together with their thumb sticking up. Press the child’s palm onto your paper, once you lift your child’s hand you will see a bunny shape laying in the grass. Add a cotton ball to the end of your child’s palm and your bunny is coming to life.
**Optional things to do, would be to add a googly eye to your bunny along with some Easter grass glued around the bunny handprint.**
Clothespin Bunnies
Old fashion style wooden clothes pin (the kind you slide over clothes not clip to them)
Bunny Color Paint (white, pink or light brown)
Googly eyes
Paint Brush
Glue
Have the children paint the clothes pin. After the paint is dry, the pin will be upside down, so that the bunny will have ears, have the children add the eyes to the pin.
Tie Dye Easter Eggs & Flowers for Mom
Hard Boiled Eggs
White Coffee Filters
Rubber Bands
Egg Dieing kit (just the tablets from it and the vinegar)
Eye Droppers or Straws
Cups to Hold the Food Coloring
Newspaper
Green Pipe Cleaners
Cover your working area with newspaper. Prepare the Egg Dieing kit by following the instructions. Next place an egg inside a coffee filter and close it up around the egg using a rubber band. Using the eye dropper or the straw by holding the end to pick up one drop of dye at a time, drop your choice of colors on the coffee filtered egg. Once you have drenched your egg with the colors you chose. Let it set while you move to the next egg. When all the eggs are colored go back to the first egg and take the rubber band off and the coffee filter off and you will have a Tie Died Egg.
Flowers for Mom (continued from craft above)
Once the coffee filters are dry (from the Tie Dye craft) you can layer them to make a flower. Bunch them up in the middle and tie off with a rubber band. While you are tying it off with a rubber band you can rubber band it around a green pipe cleaner. This will form a flower. If you wish leave off the pipe cleaner add a safety pin and you have a corsage for Mom.

Mix in a big bowl all the ingredients. You can serve this out of a big bowl in cups or divided it all up into zip lock bags (You can get Easter ones at local stores) and give to children in their Easter Baskets.
