How To Sell Anything
The ABC’s of Selling
A vacuum cleaner salesman once shared with me the ABC’s of selling. I recently read an article in a trade journal that was titled The ABC’s of Selling, and it included all the letters of the alphabet and was so complicated that I was overwhelmed. I was reminded of this simple philosophy.
A = Always
B = Be Ready
C = To Close
D = The Deal
Always Be Ready To Close The Deal. I added the D on to the list as it only makes sense. Always be ready to close the deal. That doesn’t mean that you are always pushing people to say yes, date a show, or sign on the dotted line. It means that you are always ready to do exactly that if the situation calls for it.
If you run into someone who wants to buy something:
- Do you have a catalog with you?
- Do you have a calculator and/or pen?
- If you meet someone who wants to date a show:
- Do you have your calendar with you?
- Do you have a host packet?
If you meet someone who wants to join your opportunity:
- Do you have an opportunity flier, packet or brochure?
- Do you have an agreement with you?
Whatever your product, services or opportunity is….
Are you practicing the ABC’s of selling? Do you have everything you need to close the deal, whatever the “deal” may be? You can sell anything when you practice the ABC’s of selling.
